Team Member Steve Freeman

Extreme Exteriors Team Member Spotlightextreme exteriors team member

Who he is: Steve Freeman, Senior Consultant for Development, Growth, and Team Leadership (Retired Athletic Director and Head Football Coach for 30 years.) Steve, “Coach”, has worked in his current position with the Extreme Exteriors team for 2 1/2 years.

Steve and his wife of 37 years, Jani, enjoy spending time with their children and grandchildren. Steve says, “Our family enjoys family time. Lake Brownwood has been a destination for me since I was five years old. Growing up on a family farm and ranch operation around Roscoe, Texas, my four siblings grew up knowing how to work. Back when “getting caught up” was still a terminology that meant something, my mom and dad would reward us by taking us to Lake Brownwood for a few days. A few years later, the lake continued to be a special destination for our children. Now our grandchildren enjoy the same stretches of smooth water we enjoyed when I was a kid. Only now, we live on the lake. Just about anything that happens at our place these days is a festive event, no matter the day, month, or season.”

“Our family continues to have a strong interest in Texas high school and college football. Game days are a big deal with our family! Growing up working on the farm and ranch and having a grandfather in construction, I still tap into those areas. I normally have a welding project waiting in the wings to work on in a hobby-type way. Messing with equipment is enjoyable, with emphasis on the “messing with” part, which is a lot different than the daily grind of necessity while growing up. My hobbies normally involve a project and most often includes family help.

Why he does what he does: “I’ve been in and around athletics my entire life, and most of my life has involved being on a team or a staff of people. I’ve been very fortunate not to have ever been on a bad team or staff, but that doesn’t mean that we won all the time. The point is that we were all working toward doing all the things necessary to win. When retiring from the coaching profession almost three years ago, my every intention was to quickly be positioned in the batter’s box of entrepreneurial business. My number one priority was to continue with a good team and a good staff. I was introduced to Extreme Exteriors and discovered that a good team and a good staff was looking me square in the eye. I was clearly drawn to the beautiful work and credibility of Extreme Exteriors. The need to work for the win hasn’t changed, nor has the need of a good team working together to gain success. Extreme Exteriors continues to enhance the important things I’ve believed in throughout my athletic coaching career. Every day is an opportunity just as it’s always been — only now our Extreme Exteriors team can play again tomorrow and we don’t have to wait until the next season!

Extreme Exteriors Team Member Spotlightjdcollage

At Extreme Exteriors, we firmly believe that we do more than design and build a beautiful custom outdoor living area for your home or business. Why? Because we know that we have a small part in helping you create the backdrop to the story of your life.
Welcome to the story of why. We all have stories to tell. And we thank our clients for allowing us to be a part of theirs.

Who she is: Jess Donaghey, Executive Assistant

Jess has been an important part of the Extreme Exteriors team for a year and a half. She and her four-year-old son Brayden enjoy being outside, swimming any time they can and traveling to waterparks. Jess also said, “We are blessed with a close family and we see them as often as we can, Brayden enjoys spending quality time with his cousins. Brayden and I volunteer every Wednesday at Freedom Fellowship, which is an organization here in Abilene that our church sponsors. We help serve food to the community and Brayden is allowed the opportunity to help and talk with everyone he meets. Our house watched a lot of baseball, of course the Texas Rangers and Brayden enjoys playing soccer. I have a passion for photography and capturing moments in time that can last for generations to come. I have been given the wonderful opportunity to also capture and document the dreams of our clients at Extreme Exteriors as well.”

Why she does what she does:

“At Extreme Exteriors, I am given the privilege to help so many team members and I have constant interaction with them, I do work that matters. Working directly with Randy is the biggest blessing of all. He is a wonderful leader and he teaches and guides all of us on a daily basis, for this reason alone, I have so much respect for my team members and my mentors because the leadership at Extreme Exteriors sets a great example for the rest of us to follow. Extreme Exteriors cares so much about the community and as a company we are extremely involved in our surroundings and that matters to me. We get the privilege to design, create and build dreams and in a small part, I get to help make that happen. It is such a privilege to be a part of this Extreme family. I couldn’t imagine going anywhere else. This isn’t just a job, a paycheck or a place I go five days a week. I come to Extreme Exteriors every day to help bring dreams to life. We all do work that matters. Thank you Extreme Exteriors for allowing me to be a part of the team.”

Team Member Misty McIntosh

Who she is: Misty McIntosh, designer misty

Misty has been with Extreme Exteriors for four years. She and her husband Dan have been together for 20 years and have two sons, Claude, 13, and Maysen, 6. Here’s a little bit about Misty!

“As a family we like motorcycles! My husband owns RSR Motorsports, a local motorcycle shop, and has been in the motorcycle industry since his teen years. The boys love to ride their motorcycles and the youngest wants to be a racer. I am a big chicken so I enjoy just watching them ride. We like going to the race track together and cheering on the local guys. Maysen won the 5-year-old class bicycle race at the track last year and even made the news! We like pretty much anything with wheels, especially if it goes fast.”

Why she does what she does:

“I have the best job in the company! Although I don’t get to deal directly with our clients, my clients are my fellow team members. My job is to set them up for success. I get to draw the plans of the designers’ ideas and bring their vision to life on the drawing so they can bring their vision to our clients. When their vision is accurately portrayed they can be confident in and excited about what they are presenting. When our clients decide to have Extreme Exteriors do their project I get to do the construction plans as well. I want our construction team to have all the information they need to have their jobs go as smoothly as possible, as well as be efficient and cost effective. I am lucky enough to have joined Extreme Exteriors early on and been able to be a part of the company growing and improving each day. The people here are more than my co-workers, they are my family.  We care about each other, celebrate our children’s birthdays together, support each other in tough times, and are happy for each other in the good times. I am so happy my life has led me here.”
